The 3,500-seat Sportica sports hall was the home stadium of the Gravelines-Dunkirk team for 40 years.
On Christmas Eve, an electrical short occurred in the arena’s pool, resulting in a large fire. Unfortunately, the wooden building was not saved from the worst and the sports hall was razed to the ground. Fortunately no one died in this terrible event.
