VIDEO | Ukraine carried out an airstrike against Russian border facilities

Explosions were reported in Russian regions along the Ukrainian border the night before today. According to Russian media, the Kremnyi military electronics factory in the Bryansk region was also hit in the drone attack.

The region’s governor, Aleksander Bogomaz, said early in the morning that air defenses operated overnight because of the attack. According to him, six aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed over the city of Bryansk and the Bryansk region.

The Branskaja Ulitsa newspaper wrote that at least two unmanned aerial vehicles hit the Kremnyi EL factory. It is one of the largest microelectronics companies in Russia and also produces spare parts and accessories for the Russian Pantsir air defense systems and Iskander missile systems. People living near the factory heard a loud explosion at night, the newspaper notes.

During the night, reports of explosions also arrived from the Belgorod region.

The governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov announced the night activation of the anti-aircraft system in the regional center and its vicinity. According to him, a residential building was also hit, where a man died and several people were injured.

A total of 10 buildings were hit in the hours-long airstrike, Gladkov said. Telegram channel Baza writes that residents of Belgorod heard dozens of explosions at night.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced this morning that air defense destroyed 32 Ukrainian drones over Bryansk, Orlov, Kursk and Moscow regions overnight. Previously the ministry had announced the destruction of 13 rockets over the Belgorod region.
