Who is most at risk for prostate cancer? – Health Plus

Prostate cancer is a rather unique malignant tumor in nature. Although very aggressive forms of the disease also exist, it is mostly a disease with a relatively slow course. Studies have shown that prostate cancer develops from the formation of tumor cells to the manifestation of symptoms of the disease on average 15-25 years. Forms of the disease with a slower course occur more often in older men and may not directly threaten life or health – many men with this diagnosis leave us due to other diseases. Prostate cancer in younger men is more likely to develop quickly and aggressively and therefore can be directly life-threatening. The fact that the course of the disease can be very variable leads to a controversial attitude in the treatment of prostate cancer.
