Michael Jackson will return to the big screen on April 18, 2025 with the film «Michael», directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring the king of pop’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson, in his first leading role. Production of the film will begin on January 22.
The film is produced by Graham King, who also produced “Bohemian Rhapsody”, and the screenplay is written by John Logan.
The official synopsis of the film reads as follows: «Michael offers audiences a compelling and honest portrait of a brilliant but complicated man who became the king of pop. The film showcases his triumphs and tragedies on an epic and cinematic scale – his human side and personal struggles epitomized by his most iconic performances. Like never before, the public will be able to learn about the life of one of the most influential and pioneering artists.”
