Author: Aivar Hundimägi • 7 January 2024

In Selver the product had a price on the counter, but it was later discovered that the product was actually more expensive. The customer who discovered the difference said he had never realized before that when he buys a product with the remote control, he should check whether the price on the price tag matches the price on the check.

On Thursday, a customer shopping at Järve Selver in Tallinn discovered that the product had a price, but when he scanned the product with the purchase remote, the actual price was higher.

Since he has never looked so closely at whether the discounted products are still at the price indicated on the tag, he wondered whether Selver could also cheat with other discounted prices? Furthermore, the reader was interested in the fact that, when he discovered the price difference, why Selver sold him the product at a higher price, instead of the price indicated on the product and on which his purchase decision was based?
