According to the company, Airbaltic’s 2023 proved to be a year of goal-oriented development, thanks to which several pre-pandemic achievements were surpassed. The company’s CEO announced that in 2024, among other things, work will be done to strengthen the brand and operational quality of the airline in order to create the strongest possible foundation for the initial public offering of shares.

Last year Airbaltic carried 4.5 million passengers, which is 36% more than in 2022. Over the past 12 months, the airline operated more than 44,000 flights, which is an 18% increase over the number of year ago.

Additionally, 684 new employees were hired last year, bringing the total team size to 2,500 people. “The average age of people working at Airbaltic is 35 years, the average length of service with the employer is six years. 46% of the company’s employees are women and 54% are men,” he adds the company.
