David Fincher’s hit Netflix series could return to the big screen

“I hear David has thought about it. I’m not saying he’ll come back, but I’m saying if he comes back, I’ll bring him too,” McCallany told Awards Daily.

McCallany, however, issued a warning to those waiting for the Mindhunter season 3 announcement: “It’s been a few years, so it’s unlikely, but the fact that he’s thinking about it is a sign of hope.”

Mindhunter, based on the book of the same name by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker, traced the origins of the FBI’s behavioral science unit and its strategies for hunting serial killers. McCallany played Special Agent Bill Tench, Jonathan Groff played Holden Ford, and Anna Torvi played Wendy Carr.

Only recently, director David Fincher explained to Le Journal du Dimanche: “I am very proud of the first two seasons, but it is a rather expensive series and in the eyes of Netflix we have not attracted a large enough audience to justify the investment.” .”
