Finnair adds flights to Nordic tourist regions for the summer peak season

“Northern Europe, with its fresh air and beautiful nature, attracts travelers who want authentic experiences,” said Ole Orvér, Chief Commercial Officer of Finnair. “We offer holiday travelers excellent connections between the Nordic countries, with our hub airport in Helsinki providing extremely convenient connections,” he added.

Finnair will resume flights from Helsinki to Bodø, located in northern Norway just across the northern border, and will fly there five times a week from June 17 to August 2. Finnair will also add flights to Trondheim in Norway, with flights to Trondheim 10 times a week from June until the end of August. Both cities offer great opportunities for nature lovers and those who want to experience the amazing nature of Northern Norway. Flights to Bodø and Trondheim are perfectly connected to Finnair’s international network: you can quickly reach Helsinki from Tallinn and soon from Tartu.

Finnair will also add flights to Kuusamo, Ivalo and Kittilä in northern Finland, as Finnish Lapland attracts more and more holiday travelers even in the summer season. Finnair is the only airline serving Finnish Lapland all year round. Lapland’s authentic natural experiences, fresh air and white nights are increasingly attractive to both domestic and international holidaymakers.

From the end of June to the beginning of August Finnair also flies from Helsinki to Visby, Gotland, Sweden, five times a week. Located on the island of Gotland, medieval Visby is an ideal summer destination and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
