In a press release, Hyundai announced that next season the plan is to win as many World Cup stages as possible and fight for World Cup titles. This is Hyunai’s eleventh season in the WRC series, during which he won the team title twice (in 2019 and 2020) but did not lift the trophy in the drivers’ standings.
Ott Tänak and card reader Martin Järveoja, who spent a year in the M-Sport team, have now returned to Hyundai and are looking forward to becoming world champions for the second time since 2019.
“I was very excited and motivated to return to Hyundai Motorsport. I see a lot of passion in the team and there is clearly a collective drive to have a strong season. We start the year with a clean slate and it’s all in our hands to build a strong season. Of course, our goal is to win the title, and so is the team, so we are at the start of an exciting year,” Tänak said in a press release.
The 2024 WRC series will begin as early as next Thursday with the Monte Carlo Rally.
