In addition to strong frosts, electricity prices are also expected tomorrow.
Until 6 in the morning the electricity market price remained below 170 euros per megawatt hour. Starting from 6 in the morning, however, the share price begins to rise. At 8-9 the trading price is 1,478.91 euros per megawatt hour. At 9-10 the price drops slightly. At 10-11 am, holders of the Stock Exchange package will have to withdraw 1,000 euros.
From 11am to 3pm the price of electricity remains under 1,000 euros, but not for long. At 3-8pm the trading price is again above 1000 euros per megawatt hour. The most expensive is the 19-20 exchange rate, almost 1900 euros.
Tomorrow the price of electricity in Finland will be the same as in Estonia. YLE writes that the extremely high price is largely due to severe frosts, which drove electricity consumption to near-record levels. On the other hand, electricity supply has been reduced due to failures in many Finnish power plants, due to which they are completely or partially out of production. According to Väreen’s electricity sales company, the high prices will decrease a little over the weekend and significantly next week, when the cold temperatures ease.
