I’m blind too, but my nose works better than GPS! A Järva resident brutally threw his 11-year-old dog out of his house

The story of the husky-like dog Hassu actually began several months ago, when he left his home in Järva County several times and wandered around the village. The dog was caught and its owner was identified with the help of a chip, but he announced that he no longer wants to return his dog, which according to documents is 11 years old, wrote the well-known animal rescuer Heiki Valner on Loomaveeb.

Hassu is now in the care of the NGO Paikass, which otherwise mainly deals with rescuing cats, which also visited the animal clinic with the dog and looked into his health. It is revealed that Hassu is completely blind and his eyesight cannot be restored. Since it has not been possible to find a new home for the dog for a long time, Valner decided to draw attention to Hassu’s story to increase his chances of finding a new home.

Virge Piisner, with whom Hassu is currently fostered, describes the department thus: “We are looking for a home for him where he can stay in a room with people. There should be time for this dog, because he likes long walks, but certainly in the evening he will go back to the room, because he just needs to be close to the family. The most beautiful thing would be your house with a large garden, but it should be well closed on all sides, because Hassu will find every hole to crawl through. He too He’s blind, but his nose works better than GPS and doesn’t freeze.”

Piisner also mentions that Hassu has the habit of howling from time to time, typical of a husky dog
