The police received a report that around 3pm today an elderly couple had arrived in the center of Tartu by bus, but at some point the 88-year-old Väino had left his partner and disappeared. According to a relative, the man has not moved alone in the city in the last six months and may not be well oriented there. A man can move somewhere on a city street or in shops, but other places are also not excluded.
After receiving the complaint, police searched both the city center and the man’s house in Mõisavahe, but have so far been unable to identify the man’s location.
Väino is approximately 175cm tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a blue jacket and a brown hat. Väino walks with the help of a walking stick.
The police ask anyone who sees Väino anywhere to stay with him and report him to the police. If anyone has seen a man matching the description anywhere in the area in the last few hours, please report it to the 112 emergency room.
