VIDEO | In Japan, visitors got stuck in the 40-meter-tall American mountain attraction

There were 32 people aboard the Jurassic Park-themed flying dinosaur attraction when it got stuck about 150 feet off the ground Thursday.

Fortunately, no one was injured and people were rescued from the attraction using the emergency stairs. “This is a situation that could happen, so we followed our safety procedures and our staff guided passengers to safety,” a representative said Friday, adding that the attraction remains closed and under surveillance.

A spokesperson for Universal Studio told CNN: “Flying Dinosaur is an attraction where guests sit in a reclined, forward-facing position that makes them feel as if they are flying. The attraction came to a complete and safe stop. […] All visitors were safely evacuated within 45 minutes and visitors did not have to hang upside down. There were no injuries and the attraction reopened that afternoon. Safety is our top priority and we are committed to ensuring guests have a safe experience when visiting our park.”
