A video is circulating on social media showing police arresting a man lying on the ground.
Raino Rõõm, the patrol officer of the Tartu police station, explained that after the traffic accident, an alcoholic passerby, a 46-year-old man, came to the scene and did not agree on the cause of the traffic accident .
“The police officers listened to the man’s explanations about what happened and then asked him to leave the scene because he was interfering with the work of the police officers. However, the man was verbally aggressive and repeatedly disobeyed orders and orders warnings, which is why the police officers used force, arrested the man and took him to sober up,” Rõõm said.
The drivers involved in the accident were sober, agreed to blame and filed an insurance claim.
