An extra-fast version of the Taycan is coming soon, which doesn’t even have a name. Furthermore, Porsche did not say anything about the technical data. However, the usual trip to the Nürburgring was made with the pre-production model, because the lap time provides a lot of information to car enthusiasts.

Apparently, they were sure of the goodness of the car, and the engineers were not disappointed: the new record for electric sedans is 7:07.55, which beats the time of the Tesla Model S Plaid by a full 17.6 seconds (7: 25.231). The absolute record for electric cars is not far behind either, which is obviously held by Rimac Nevera (7:05.298).

It is speculated that the super Taycan will have three electric motors and around 1000 horsepower. For the Nürburgring test, Porsche also highlighted the good cooling of the battery and the overall durability, as lap record holder Lars Kern drove more than one lap and the time was always almost similar. Therefore, the batteries in the new Taycan also suffer from longer battery life.
